This policy explains what information CircleSaaS collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the board, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information: your name, email address, and authentication details when you sign up or sign in.
Listing information: the startup name, description, category, tags, logo, and destination URL you submit when claiming a tile, and your answer to "How did you hear about CircleSaaS?".
Reminder sign-ups: if you leave your email address on our homepage to be reminded to list a startup, we store that address and send you one reminder email about a week later. The email has an unsubscribe link, and we keep a record that you unsubscribed so we do not email you again.
Payment information: for paid tiers, billing details are collected and processed directly by Dodo Payments, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Reports: if you report a listing, we store the reason and any details you provide, along with the account that submitted the report.
Usage data: click events on your tile (timestamp, referrer, a hashed IP address) used to power your dashboard analytics, and general site usage such as pages visited, collected through Google Analytics (see Section 3).
To operate the board: creating your account, claiming and displaying your tile, and processing subscription payments.
To show you analytics: daily click counts on your dashboard are aggregated from raw click events.
To communicate with you: transactional emails such as payment receipts, claim confirmations, or account security notices.
To keep the board safe: detecting abuse, fraud, or content that violates our Terms of Service, including checking submitted website links for malware and phishing and reviewing reports from other users.
Signing in stores your session token in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, which keeps you signed in on that device.
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and how they use it. Google Analytics only runs if you click Accept on our cookie banner; if you reject (or haven’t chosen), it is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw your choice at any time by clearing this site’s stored data in your browser settings, after which the banner will ask again. When enabled, it sets cookies in your browser and collects usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location. You can opt out with a browser add-on such as Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
We use Crisp to provide the live chat widget in the bottom-right corner of the site. Crisp only runs if you click Accept on our cookie banner, the same choice that enables Google Analytics; if you reject (or haven’t chosen), it is not loaded and no chat cookies are set. When enabled, it sets a cookie to keep your conversation across page loads, and if you send a message, Crisp collects the message content and, if you provide it, your name and email, subject to Crisp’s own Privacy Policy.
Our Contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam, which may set cookies and collects information about your device and interaction, subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
We share data with a small number of service providers strictly to operate CircleSaaS: Dodo Payments (billing); our cloud storage provider (logo image hosting); our email provider (sending account, verification, and transactional emails); Google Analytics (site analytics); Crisp (the live chat widget); Google reCAPTCHA (spam prevention on the Contact form); Google Web Risk (the destination URL of each listing you submit is sent to Google to check it against known malware and phishing lists); and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, those identity providers.
These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes, except that Google handles data received through Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and Web Risk under its own privacy policy, and Crisp handles chat data under its own privacy policy.
We retain your account and listing data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel a paid tile, it stays live until the end of the period you paid for and is then released. If you delete your account from the dashboard, your account and all of your listings are deleted immediately and your tiles are released. Records we are legally required to keep (such as payment records) may be retained by us or by our payment processor as the law requires.
You can edit or delete your listings, and permanently delete your account, at any time from your dashboard. You may also request a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us (see Section 8).
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
