Is Authentk an identity or ID check?
No. Authentk proves a photo is real, current, and taken on that device at that moment. It does not verify legal identity, age, or background.
Does the other person need the app to check a photo?
No. They scan the QR code or tap the verification link and see the result in a browser.
Can a screenshot, an old photo, or an AI-generated photo pass?
No. The selfie is signed against a live cryptographic challenge at the moment of capture, so an old, edited, re-uploaded, or generated image has no valid proof.
Is Authentk the same as authentik?
No. authentik is an open-source identity server for developers. Authentk is a consumer iPhone app that proves a selfie is real before you meet someone from the internet.
What does Authentk cost?
Trying Authentk is free: every new account gets 30 days with everything unlocked. After that, Pro is $6.99 per month or $44.99 per year. Founder pricing is a one-time $99.99 for lifetime Pro, limited to the first 500 buyers. Checking someone else's verification is always free and needs no app.
Is there an Android version?
Android is on the roadmap. Authentk is iPhone-only today, with an open TestFlight beta.
